What counts as a dental emergency?

If any of these is happening, call us now.

We treat all of these in-house, no referral needed. Facial trauma, uncontrolled bleeding, or swelling with a fever that is making it hard to breathe or swallow belongs in the ER first. For everything else, call us.

Severe or sudden toothache

Knocked-out tooth (time-critical: within the hour)

Broken, cracked, or badly chipped tooth

Lost filling or crown

Dental abscess: swelling in your gums or face, especially with fever. This one is serious. Swelling that spreads or comes with fever needs prompt care, so call right away.

Bleeding that won’t stop, or an injury to your lips, gums, or tongue

What happens when you call an emergency dentist in Las Vegas?

You tell us what happened

A real person asks a few quick questions so we know how urgent it is.

We get you in

We do our best to see emergencies the same day. Time-critical cases like a knocked-out tooth get priority.

We stop the pain first, then make a plan

You leave knowing exactly what’s next and what it will cost before anything moves forward.

Can you fix my tooth the same day?

Many emergencies are handled in one visit: easing a toothache, smoothing a chip, recementing a crown, or placing a temporary filling.

Some problems need follow-up treatment once the pain is under control. A deep infection may need a root canal; a tooth broken below the gumline may need an extraction; a badly damaged tooth may be rebuilt with a dental crown.

Either way, we explain your options in plain language and you make the call.

How much does an emergency dental visit cost?

An emergency exam is $45 before insurance, plus any X-rays you need. Minor treatment to relieve pain is about $110. Treatment cost depends on what the exam finds, and we tell you the cost before we start.

We accept most PPO plans, and many plans cover emergency exams. We’ll verify your benefits and tell you what to expect.

If cost is a worry, we offer flexible ways to pay, including payment plans. Getting out of pain comes first.

What if my emergency happens after hours?

Our office is open Monday to Thursday, 8 am to 4 pm. If your emergency happens outside those hours, call (702) 363-0444 and leave a message. We return calls as soon as we reopen.

For anything else, call when we open and say it’s an emergency. Emergencies go to the top of the schedule.

Go to the ER first for facial trauma, bleeding that won’t stop, or swelling with fever, especially if it affects breathing or swallowing.
